About this trip
Begin where every story of Egypt begins, at the foot of the pyramids, and end the evening at a candlelit table on the Nile. Then fly south to Aswan, where the river is at its most beautiful, and board your cruise for three nights on the water, with the temples of Abu Simbel at sunrise along the way.
Sail past Kom Ombo and Edfu to Luxor and its royal tombs, then cross the desert to El Gouna, a lagoon town on the Red Sea, for three days of sun, coral reefs and nothing to plan. Flowers and a cake in your room, a felucca at sunset and every transfer arranged: you only have to enjoy each other.

Your personal assistant meets you at the airport, takes care of the visa and airport formalities and drives you to your hotel, where flowers and a honeymoon cake are waiting in your room. The evening is yours.
The Giza Plateau with your Egyptologist: the Great Pyramid, a walk inside the Pyramid of Khafre, the panoramic viewpoint for your photos together and the Sphinx. After lunch facing the pyramids, the Grand Egyptian Museum and the treasure of Tutankhamun. In the evening, a dinner cruise on the Nile with live music and a Tanoura show.
A morning flight to Aswan and a motorboat to Philae, the island temple of Isis, goddess of love. Board your Nile cruise for lunch, then a felucca around the islands of Aswan as the sun goes down. Night on board.
An early drive across the Nubian desert to Abu Simbel, the temples Ramses II built for himself and for his beloved Queen Nefertari. Back on board for lunch as the boat sails north to Kom Ombo and its double temple, lit up at dusk.
A horse carriage to the Temple of Horus at Edfu, the best preserved in Egypt. Afternoon tea on the sun deck as you sail to Luxor, then Karnak and Luxor Temple in the evening light. Last night on board.
Disembark after breakfast for the Valley of the Kings and the terraced temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Then a private drive across the Eastern Desert to your all-inclusive resort in El Gouna on the Red Sea, about four hours.
A day by the sea: swim in the lagoons, snorkel the coral reef or simply rest together by the water.
A slow day at your resort. Add a boat trip to the islands, a dive or a couples' spa if you like.
A transfer to Hurghada airport and a short flight to Cairo, where we meet you and take you to your hotel. A free evening for a last walk in Khan el-Khalili.
Breakfast, then your personal assistant takes you to the airport and helps you with check-in for your flight home.
